Another mind blowing trip into the world as it is, and as it has always has been. Without the power of the USA, financially, politically, militarily as it exists for now, these countries would be at war today. History does not lie. They have to pay dearly for our protection, for their improvised freedoms. Read "Why Empires Fall" by Heather and Rapley. Then "Black Hawk Speaks"
by Neihardt, the life of the Lakota Sioux and Black Hawk who saw the life given to all from a mountain top in So Dakota.

Nicely done. This was well written and so interesting. I really enjoyed reading it. There's so much happening, yet it's so well told! The way you shared the tensions between Greece and Turkey with that bold move in front of the mural was fascinating. I love how you used humor and timing to bring the two sides together. Great job bringing everything all together - it was a compelling and memorable read!

This was yet another adventure full of potential disaster. Brokering a deal between nearly-hostile nations is no easy feat. Whether you really did play a role in preventing WW III, well, there may have been some butterfly effect at play there. Can anyone prove you didn't? This was different than your mining stories, but still very interesting. I appreciate all the effort you put into this, explaining the history and politics of the nations involved.
