This is truly a wonderful little poem. I love both the playfulness of it and also the creativity that steps out of the shadows and drapes itself all over the place. I just loved this stanza. It should be immortalized!
The snow will dress all of the trees
The covered branches are the sleeves
One wears a snowy white top hat
Abominable diplomat

Yes, the last verse tells how fast it can change and start getting too much and the wind blows too ending in a blizzard. And then like you said it can melt and turn mushy awfully fast. It was so lovely and it was flowing so well and you could just feel the gentleness of the falling snow creating a beautiful scenery and then you've got a little punchline at the end that made me laugh.

I have always loved to see the snow, the beauty of the white hooded trees and roofs, the meadows and the lawns. Yet, I detest the cold and chilly winds, the slippery ice that leave wreckage and blood stains. Well done, dear Debi for sharing this lovely piece. Remain blessed, my friend.

You would not like it here at all in Minnesota. LOL.

That is the first thing I thought of when I read your cute little verse. You silly goose, grandma. Oh how I loved those words.

Anyways dag-nab-it, I read this yesterday and forgot to send a review. I'm getting old!

Though I'm not a big fan of winter any more, I do love a snow fall. It's peaceful, very quiet, pure white, and a great time to walk the dogs.

Hi John, I am going to try this one more time to tell you what I was trying to say. What you said was from Deputy Dawg and I remember so many of these because I love the old time cartoons. Road runner was one of my favorites because we had the classic fastest car around and actually it went, Mee Meep. LOL,. Here are a few others that I loved. Tweety bird said I tat I taw a putty tat. Bugs bunny said What's up doc and Porky pig said that's all folks. Haha. They were such fun. Thanks for the reminders.
