A good chapter, Charles. I like the print size, too. You do a good job giving the general background of cattle raising. But the family will have to decide which is more important, or can they cultivate cotton and also raise cattle? Now college graduates are involved taking things to a different level. James has a very good point about someone feeding the nation. In short, there is a boost in the farming community. A very good conclusion to the chapter. Very well done!

I nearly missed this one, Chuck, now I'm off to read the next chapter. The growing town will most likely mean more trouble for Ralph, it always happens. Now, has Matt decided to have a meeting with the family about the cotton? I wonder what the rest of the family would say about that. Well done, my friend. Things are changing! :) Love and hugs, Sandy. xx

Things will stay the same for Ralph and family no cotton. Thanks Sandy.

Yes, those small towns without much crime or potential criminals always looking for an easy mark. Old drunks in a cell, sort of like Mayberry and Otis. Thanks for sharing.

When small towns grow, so do the problems. I can't wait to read more. I like the story.
As the new year brought spring, it meant caving. (Did you mean calving???)
reasons, my brother James was in charge. (brother, James,)

Another great chapter of the boo. Sometimes a growing town is a great and other times not so great.
I live in a small town and we just got our first traffic light a couple of years ago. The people fight the idea of grow. The last thing that they approve was a O'reilly auto parts store.
Well done my friend

This is a well written chapter and I hope to catch up on past chapters. I've recently become interested in western stories of historical fiction and I appreciate your work, herd.
One note:
I believe you want to write calving rather than
caving
Best wishes to you,
Alex

It sounds a little like the town of Mayberry where they had a town drunk, and the local drunk was the only occupier of the Jail. PS Hi Ben, I've been a little busy, the medical people I know have been on holiday so I'm slow in getting back. I googled ECB 46, and one can apparently buy the product online, or just google agin, ECB 46, and research on the American university Stanford University in California, who likewise have been experimenting with it on, but it's hard to find out anything else, you should have been able to do that yourself my friend. I know the feeling you have for your grandchildren, but I hope thst helps, go with God, Ben, HNY, blessings Roy

Many small towns grew into very large cities as this day but they started as I try to describe. My blessing to you, Bro.

Oh Charles, this is as always such great writing. I can so agree with the statement, that's it's all very well to grow cotton and make clothes, but meanwhile there's a nation to be fed. Such simple times back then. A virtual six. I have none left. I love this story. Ulla, :)))
