This poem addresses the often visible conflicts in the world. The news can be depressing to watch or read about, and if it is in our own town or neighborhood, we are going to be affected. We could probably all work on eliminating 'Cluttering of our minds' in more than one way. Thanks for sharing.

This is an engaging piece, Harry. Truth all the way through. I'll never understand why peace isn't contagious. What a shame. Thank you for sharing.
God bless,
Steve

Indeed. Greed seems to be the greatest virtue today. It is so sad because without an emphatetic atmosphere the world is doomed.
Thank you for sharing!
Blessings with hugs and kisses!

Your poem reflects the feelings of most of us. There has always been a battle between good and evil. Only now we are more aware of it, because of news coverage. We are all collateral damage to the rich. You wrote a deep and powerful poem.

There's a heartfelt quality to this that, when added to the vivid imagery you've employed, makes it an emotional read. The rhyme is constant and for doesn't feel forced. A sense of urgency and sadness (or maybe a better word is despair) permeates through it. A timely poem that is relevant in any era. I don't think you need to change anything.

Harry, This is a really great poem about peace! You used very good descriptive and very true words. If we would learn to use our mouth to speak kind and meaningful words we might see better things start to happen. It takes someone to be the one that will go that extra mile in what they say or do. I also think if we would pray and ask God for His help He would grace us with His presence and things would change. I believe that with my whole heart! Blessings, Teri

"When will the words sweeten our tongue
When will the fighting cease?
So, we can all enjoy a greater peace: I guess this is the one million dollar question.

I enjoyed reading this poem, the ABAB rhyming scheme made it a satisfying poem. And the message of peace is always a powerful message and one that should be heard. Well done

This is a very somber poem that reflects how our world has become. I tend to not get caught up in everything that's going on, but try to be the best that God has created me to be to the people around me. Nice job.
