Still up in the air, and a new tragedy strike the rescue team, now kids are injured and inmates freed, but the good news is that the girl is safe. Thank you for sharing and good luck with your writings.

Nice work. Fun thinking about a self-identifying 'senior citizen' woman writing this as I read it. I wonder if you've been a detective story reader for any part of your life. I'm curious now what happens next. ~wy

Hello and thank you for checking out this story. I have read mysteries and crime stories all my life and written quite a few. This is the fourth in the series with the same characters. I recently published the first one and plan on publishing the others. I know that I have a fifth one in mind after I finish this. I'm told that each story has proven to be better than the one before it.

I would be thrilled and flattered if you read the book and tell me your thoughts since you are new to the series. Thank you so much.

Always nice to see the "gang" of characters you've enchanted us with begin another adventure.

What black hearted creep would dispose of orphans like so much rubbish to spring Doyle and Rossi?

Oh, man... I know you're going to make them pay!

A very black hearted creep indeed...even worse than Doyle if that's possible. Haven't figured it out yet, but there will be justice for who ever these hoodlums are. And yes, I am thrilled to be back in the groove with the gang.

They're Back. It's a joy and a pleasure to read good writing. I can sit back with a hot cup of tea and enjoy looking in on other people's (and ghost's) lives while listening to them solve a mystery. Your writing style and descriptions trigger all the senses, including sights, sounds, aromas, tastes, and the feeling of the warmth of Donatelli's coffee. I'm in for a joyful ride.

Oh you make my smile and get warm fuzzies with all your generous praise. I always get "stage fright" when I start a story becuse I don't really know where it is headed...just let the characters lead me down the pages.... hope you don't end up on a cliff! Thanks as always, Lorraine. You are my support system!

I always like Detective Donatelli. There are just some characters who catch my attention and entertain me best, actions, voice, and character. Thanks for sharing.

Nice trick posting the short stories before the prologue. I can't wait to read more.

Donatelli's voice was clipped. "Any bodies yet?" (clipped,)

DeLuca spoke into the phone. "Did you hear all that, Matthew?" (phone,)

She sighed, "Miriam sensed it too." (sighed.)

I suppose when one lives in eternity, everything is transcendent, because there's no longer a sense of time, that belongs to the world of mortals, beginnings and ends, so of course Eleanor and Miriam, plus Dannii, would be in thst place. Well done Carol, blessings Roy

I'm really excited to see you returning to these characters, Carol and I'm looking forward to seeing what adventure you have in store for them next; you've certainly created an intriguing opening here. I really enjoyed reading it. I can't wait for the next chapter.

This is a really good setup for the following chapters. This has, so far, been a great story and one that is hard to stop reading as there is so much going on.

What an ominous chapter. It seems that it would be impossible to find out how and why the prisoners could have escaped. But using a busload of children to facilitate their escape is the lowest of the low. Shows they are totally evil, and without any conscience. Well written.

Yes, the men behind this escape are going to be the worst of the worst....they will deserve whatever happens to them. I hate writing sad stuff but it is out there now and hopefully we can get past most of it. Thanks so much, Wendy.
