Your words bring forth the essence of Christianity and I like your theme of instead of resolutions, focus on Jesus. I like your last line about the importance of forgiveness, so true. Your poetic form is smooth with a musical feel and flow to it, I can hear your words as a song.

How sweet of you, Elaine. You are always so generous with your comments and I thank you so very much. I am not going to do much writing this year except for tributes people have asked for. But I am hoping to expand some of my reviewing after the corneal transplant and they allow more screen time. I will most definitely get your way then. Thank you for the wonderful review and words for this poem. I wish you a very blessed New Year, my lovely friend. Thank you for the honor of your six stars too.
    Love, Debi

I appreciated this poem with its biblical views and advice. You have a gift for laying out the gospel story very accessibly - and in rhyme, too! Your take on this year's resolution is a good one. Thanks for sharing.

This is a well written piece about the importance of having faith, Debi. I do find it sad at how commercialized Christmas has become and that it seems to have lost it's true meaning. I hope you have a great year in 2025.

Love the way you put this. What matters most is what we do with Jesus. New Years day celebration came when I was born again as a 14 year old boy. Appreciate how you tied this into the new year.

Hi Debbie,
This poem is a good reminder that the soul should take presidency over the body. Please help my pray for my children so they find a spark to get faith and return to the church.
Keep writing and stay healthy.
Happy New Year.
Joan

Hello Debbie. Thank you for penning such a great poem with the message of salvation to those here on FanStory. You simply and effectively shared the truth and the way that they can also know the Lord. A great verse!!

This is my goal this year. To be a shining example of what it means to be Christian. I want people to see God through my works and words. It starts with one. Beautifully written poem, Debi. Gretchen

My dear friend, Gretchen. I must tell you that this may be the most incredible review I have ever received. First of all because you spoke so candidly about your faith here. I have always known you to be a good woman, but I see a spiritual side as well and that means everything to me.

Since I got here in 2021 you have been one of my favorite friends as you have reviewed almost everything I have ever written and I couldn't appreciate you more if I tried.

However, I haven't been able to repay the favor because I am so limited to my screen time. I have only had time for an occasional one here and there.
That was because of shingles in my eyes a few years ago. Now I have a new problem added on to the other one that blinded me in one eye when I had covid in August of this year and got Covid eye and numerous infections that destroyed the cornea and now am on an expensive treatment called Oxervate.
I figured you may have heard of it since being a pharmacist. My eye specialist says it is a $100,000. Treatment and I have two weeks left. Judiverse is also on the Oxervate and is about two weeks behind me.

Then I will be getting a cornea transplant at some point. So for the most part I am done writing a lot this year and slowly going back to working at cleaning up poetry to put into a book I want to publish. Hoping that will also free me up to review more.
And that means I will be coming your way. It's about time I would say. LOL.

So what does that have to do with seeing your spiritual side? I don't know except that I was so touched by your honesty, I felt the need to be honest in return.

Thanks so very much for your very thoughtful review and I wish you all the best as I too know how hard it is to stay true to our belief with satan coming at us all the time. God bless you, my friend. And thank you from the bottom of my heart for your big heart. You are an amazing woman and I am proud to call you friend. (And this is still so hard for me to believe, but I am on day six of another bout of covid) Love and Hugs. Debi

It's never a bad time to share the Gospel and try to make sure those you care about will be around to share in the joy of the other side. Thank you for sharing.

I wish you a very Happy New Year. This is the first post I've read in this new year, and I am inspired by your talent and well expressed message.

Many consider the teachings of the Bible as obsolete, but without being told, as part of humanity, we should innately know if we are doing right or wrong. We should innately know it is good to help our fellow human as we sometime need help ourselves. But, unfortunately, many do not understand that God is love and we should share that love with others.

Reading this poem is a good way to start the new year. Thank you for sharing your very important thoughts, and I wish you all the best in this year.

This is a really beautiful poem, Debi. As we get older we should search our souls and see how we would fare if Jesus came back now. Unfortunately, there a too many around the world who are Satan's soldiers, and they are quickly immersing themselves in those around them. We have to be strong to defeat him. Happy New Year, dear friend. Love and hugs, Sandra xxx
