I like even in one's mature years there is romance. I like how you lovingly expressed their intimacy in so few words. Words that make a contest entry worthwhile.

Yes, love deepens with age. Naked bodies intertwined show how strong the bond remains as the couple grows older. I am 70 years old and still remember the depth of love and tenderness felt between me and my partner who has passed away. This poem touches me deeply and brings a tear to my eye. The artwork chosen adds the flavor of tenderness as the couple hugs on the shore.

    Hi Jesse
Thank you for your lovely review and the six stars.
It is clear how much love you had for your partner. I could feel the affection you both had for each other, and it warmed me. It is essential to me that you enjoyed the poem and the artwork. My wife and I have known each other for 58 years, and as my health starts to fail, each day together is a bonus.
My children, my grandchildren and my wife keep me going.
    Take care, Jessie

It is good that you liked the couplet! It is nice to be able to offer a little bit of descriptive poetry now and then. The thought of a gentle tickle is lovely and entirely accurate!

This less-than-ten-words-poem, Intimacy Need not Wane with Age, has the proper formatting and suggests that the physical love of a couple can continue to the very last.

This is great! I think this is so true i. The sense that it's in the twilight years that couples appreciate their relationship more than in their youth. It's a different level of intimacy.

Beautifully and sensitively done in under ten words which is remarkable. You capture the theme magically in that visual and your rhyming sentiments, thereafter, are a joy to read. Well done and good luck! Debbie

First, you met the requirements of this contest, but more than that you opened Pandora's box (my mind) to have me find hope that there may be someone I can intertwine with!
