Really outstanding idea for this contest entry. Eloquently stated in each line!!

Not that we must be politically correct in distinguishing the sex of God, but in another rendition of this poem, my guess "God's"would be equally acceptable in lieu of "His." And, the bonus would have been the g-letter alliteration.
