There you are, back doing what I know you for. Incredible poems. This is such a nice story within a poem of somebody who's not only special to you but someone who is special to many many athletes and five growing boys. I know she is thrilled to have aunt Debi memorialize her as you have done. Great job sis!

Hi Dan, have you ever heard of FCA before now? It is such a wonderful organization that I have been giving to it monthly for years and years. As long as she has been a part of it. I love me some fellowship of Christian athletes! L O L I just had one thing against them. I figured, since I was a Christian that I should be able to be on their team. However, they were like everybody else in my life. I have been accused of a number of things in my life, but I have never been accused of being an athlete. Thusly, I was never a member of any organized sports team in school. You are most welcome sis.

I had a friend who was involved in the FCA. It is a great association and helps many who might fall through the cracks. Giving the glory where it belongs and teaching athletes about faith and understanding God is who you are playing for. Great poem. Gretchen

Gretchen, that is so neat that you have a friend who is involved in this. I never heard about it until many years ago when Megan started. I have been supporting her with $50. monthly and it is rewarding.

This is an amazing story Debi. I can see you beaming with pride about your family. My daughter was like Megan growing up but her love was volleyball. She played basketball and did very well. She ran track and still holds some records in her high school. But, nothing for compared to volleyball. She played at Penn State and is now a Division 1 Volleyball coach at the University of Tenn in Chattanooga. She just finished her 30th year coaching and has over 500 wins. I can agree with Billy Graham, a coach influences more lives in a year than most people do in a lifetime.
Great poem for your niece.

Over the last year alone, FCA organized 21,161 Huddles, 309 FCA SportsLeagues and Clubs, held 1,058 Camps and supported 631 Fields of Faith events. Most of all, more than 53,000 students made a decision to follow Christ.

Dear John, what an absolutely wonderful review and comments. I love your heart that you would be as touched by so many teens that are brought to faith thru this fellowship. Can you imagine some kids in bad areas that have no knowledge of Christ? And probably never have that chance except in this way. It is such an important revelation for these kids.not to mention how great the time with other teens taking part in sports.
So I have it set up that they get $50. from my SS check every month. Thank you for caring so much.
That means the world to me. But then I wouldn't expect any less of a brother like you. Thank you for the stars that show how much you care.

Thanks for sharing about your amazing niece and her husband and all that they do to raise the next generation of Christian athletes! What a wonderful organizations. I keep hearing about more college kids being baptized so there is a new revival happening and I know the Lord is using organizations such as FCA!
