Sometimes, as a human, we all have the tendency to jump to conclusions or assume. And I must say, when I noticed your poem's name "Exposure," I and saw the snake picture, I wasn't exactly on the right track.
Thanks for sharing.

Well, I just ran a few possible tracks in my imagination ..and here I was thinking a straight up snake in the grass.

Your poem powerfully explores the themes of betrayal, truth, and liberation. The vivid imagery and emotive language convey a strong sense of anger and eventual freedom from the burden of secrecy. The contrast between the "final act" and the "opening night" is particularly striking, symbolizing a new beginning born from the end of deceit.

I think the moment we let a secret slip out, we have regret. Betraying someone's confidence is unforgivable and there is no turning back, your poem is poignant and honest Nicki, much enjoyed, love Dolly x
