well, whew! that is the longest thing I have ever read all the way through, that I didn't understand half of; and only for 2 member cents :)
It sounded like you were right about things and those after self aggrandizement weren't. Also sounds like you're a very smart man, but I wonder how many read this all the way through (except me) and understood it. well, I think I'll have to read more at a later date.
Merry Christmas to you!

Sorry, you picked one of my Novellas, which are basically a 3 Chapter book... I'm still trying to figure this all out. I'll stop posting those long ones. I have plenty of other short stories (~1000 words) which I hope you will read/review.

Because I have lived in Illinois for almost 60 years and because that governor you speak of here and I share a name, I was eager to read this essay. I was hooked by your opening as I, too, wondered why so many Democrats disliked Blago. I thought THIS would be your focus throughout, but you strayed into discussing your role as CEO of Prairie State and go on and on about your accomplishments. Compress this dramatically if you want more reviewers. Rod

Thanks for the honest-straight review. I write mostly short stories (<1200 words) and occasionally a few Novellas (~6000) words. I realize the Novels are 99.9% for my benefit. Its cathartic to me. Its my way of letting out some steam/pain, or simply grinding an axe. I will try and tighten it up.

I really enjoyed how your writing takes me through the highs and lows of your experience at the gala and your involvement with the Prairie State project. I especially liked the way you brought the events to life. Your humor really shines through, particularly with the "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet" line. I found myself smiling a lot reading this. Your honesty add so much to the story.
