I know where you're coming from, author I know of three uncles that served in war. One came back home all shot up and the other two came home. Thay weren't the same. No war is a good war. Thanks for sharing.

I think it was the same in England, where I was born, after six years of being bombed, backs to the wall, hearing that the allies had finally won the war in Europe, my adopted country Australia, also fought on two fronts. Beautifully written, blessings Roy
