Years ago, my teenaged daughter pull out the potato peeler (which I never used), and peeled a cucumber. I was shocked and have used it ever since. Contest or no contest, I want to read your potato peeler story.

Yes, they are one of the best inventions ever made. Lol. After that, I didn't even save it. The next day when reading it sober, it wasn't quite as humorous as I thought. Haha. Yeah, I don't get the 30 day deal either. I really appreciate the generous stars, LJB. I'm glad your daughter opened your eyes. Lol.

We have time when we enter a contest and we truly feel that our story or Scripts are the best for the contest, but sometimes that doesn't happen, but the one thing about being a writer is that we keep our mindu, active and so we're actually winning in the end. Patricia.

Hey, Rache, hi. Thank you so much for the great review and big sixer. Wasn't there a certain someone that just won nearly all the prompts because of suspicious activities? Was that why the 30 day deal began? I don't even remember.
As for the peeler story, when I reread it the next day...sober, it wasn't actually as hilarious as I had thought. I didn't even save the dumb piece. It seemed funny as crap at the time but what can you do? Haha.

I have to agree that the 30 day no win contest is one of the most frustrating things on this site. It has happened to me several times because I forget to look at that section and don't see it until I go to actually submit. So, it is all my fault but the frustration is real and I wish they would be removed.

Thank you for the great review, Wendy. Believe me, I know all about the promoting something and then it vanishing for the duration of the promotion's limit. Simply because some folks can't seem to follow rules and the site gives them sometimes 'days' to fix the entry. I don't do much promoting in contests because of that. Sorry to hear that happened.
