Hi
What a perfect match of words to the collage of photos for this herding
dog.
Good luck in the contest.
Keep writing and stay healthy
Have a great weekend.

Thank you for the positive feedback , glad you enjoyed the rhyme.
We had two afghans that were very handsome.
Back in the day Afghans were used to hunt even big prey in Afghanistan.
I hope you have a peaceful weekend too!

You are most kindly welcome. And thanks for the nice weekend wishes.]

I like how you constructed a NARRATIVE in only 21 syllables, describing how a courageous dog protected a startled flock of sheep from predators. A fine tribute to these fearless dogs. Rod

I appreciate the kind words , they are certainly beautiful dogs both in looks and in character.
I love the pic where the lamb is snuggled between his protector's front legs.

Love this, I am a retired small animated Veterinarian and have treated many Anatolian Shepards. Very easy to examine, treat, never one growl ever. Have a Great Pyrenees now, similar duties, protect and defend.

I had never heard of these beautiful hounds both in looks and in character.
I have read about them all morning!
The great Pyrenees was mentioned too. (smiles)
We had two Afghans one after the other, both came from England.
They were used once to hunt in Afghanistan.
Unlike most dogs, we had the earn their love and respect.
I wrote about them, after the contest I'll send you a link with pics.
I'm glad you connected to this wee poem.
