From your poem, I feel the love you have for Kratos.
They do have a bad name; unless you own one. From your poem, Kratos is the most amusing companion you could not do without. I love dogs more than humans. Kratos does his level best to love and entertain you.

Thank you for your kind review. Yes, Kratos is a lovely dog. He has the best disposition ever. His bark is ferocious and sounds scary, but he is a big scaredy cat. The wind rustles outside and rattles the trees he has a tendency to run away like his tail is on fire. He is quite the entertainer.

Kratos was the Greek God of War.

Yes sir. That would be the one.

I believe that pets take on the traits of their owners. My son has had two pit bulls who are so lovable and gentle. It's a crime to categorize pit bulls as being dangerous. I'm glad you advocate for them.

June,
Thank you for the review. Pit bulls are gentle giants if raised right.

I've never had a pit bull as a member of my family, but your poem tempts me to try it! I like the image of him trying to catch treats, but misses... very funny! Well done.

Thank you for your kind review. You should get a pit bull. If they are raised right they are great dogs.

HI, again. Second of your poems I've come across in a row.
You have similar strong rhyme and rhythm here as in your motorcycle piece, but this time you continue it more consistently throughout the piece. It is lots of fun and clearly demonstrates your affection for Kratos the not so scary pitbull. I am a dog lover, well aware that it is not the breed that is the problem but more how dogs are treated and trained by their owners.
Give Kratos a treat from me!

Thank you for your kind review. Yes, this one had a better rhyme pattern. I tried and it took me a couple weeks to write that poem. I bought a book on the different styles of poems so I can start trying other styles out. You will see that most of my poems are free form.

I have known a few Pits, and i am a strong believer that there are very few bad dogs, but many bad owners.
I enjoyed this poem and a look at your gorgeous dog. But what, I have to ask, is a woobie?

Tim,
Thank you for the kind review. It's in the notes, but a woobie is what the Army called their field blankets. My husband was Army and that's where it comes from.

I must learn to read notes more often LOL

If anyone deserves a poem, it is a pit bull. Love your words about your beloved dog. He sounds so sweet. There are no bad dogs, only people who do not train them and take proper care of them. Excellent poem with a smooth flow of lines and words. I am sure Kratos loves your poem.

Thank you for the kind review. When Kratos jumps on the front door I see whoever is on the other side back up. It's quite hilarious .

Oh, Cecelia, I could feel the love in every one of your words. Kratos is very lucky to have someone who loves him so much, because Pit Bulls to get the raw end of the stick. Loved the picture, girl friend.

Yes, my younger daughter own a female Rottweiler, they're a large dog, and apart from her enthusiastic love of all her family, she's terrified of a plastic shopping Trolley and people she hasn't met, her best friend is a male 5kg Moodle we own, they don't have a good reputation, but her, along with my brother's large Doberman, they are all sooks, who sleep with their owners, beautifully written Cecilia, blessings Roy

Roy,
Thank you for the kind review. All of those dogs are on the Aggressive breed and it's not fair. They are only as good as their owner.
