An excellent entry for the 20Syllable Poem contest. I relate too well to this poem's message. Who's fast forwarding indeed?! Every summer seems to disappear faster and faster. Nicely done/ Good luck in the contest.

There is one time in the year what I would like to fast forward and that time is from the start of summer, which is usually May to the end of July or August because it is so darn hot here. I enjoyed your 20 syllable appointment and I wish you the best in the contest.

I agree with you here Jen, why are the seasons whizzing by so quickly and winter always seems to be the longest season! Roll on spring when we can start afresh, much enjoyed Jen, love Dolly x

The transition from summer to winter feels almost jarring! And your question "Who's fast forwarding?" is perfect. I love how you share a sense of bewilderment and wonder at how fast time can fly. Great job capturing that feeling of seasons slipping away!

Yes, it won't be long and it will be winter for almost every one of us, but for you, it never really gets cold, or too cold I mean. I don't guess it lasts too long. Great job. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Jeni,
This is a fabulous poem. It makes a huge statement and is spot on. It seems as we get older the time also moves faster. It's crazy how that is. Perhaps as children we didn't have a grasp on time. We have our whole life's ahead of us. Crazy how that works.
Great job.

The seasons this year have flown by as you have pointed out in this short poem. The Speaker sounds wistful and at the same time disapproving. One small error. Way TOO soon.
