Your descriptions of a room, a scene, a view are so incredibly clear I feel I am transformed into some 3D image and might literally be able to reach up and trace the gold lettering on those leather bound volumes.
This is one of many reasons I respect your skill as a writer!
Adoptions! Matthew injured! A pregnancy with an as yet in revealed father!
Wow...
I'm impressed you keep all these balls in the air!
It's a thrill to read!

Excuse the cut and paste...
I'm traveling to North Carolina to spend some time with my Great Granddaughters (and enjoy Keyanna's national soccer tournament). It's like a whirlwind at the moment, but I do appreciate your time and especially your enjoyment of my story. Hope to get back to it soon. Thank you as always.

Enjoy your trip!

rest...what's that? I spent yesterday buying groceries and cooking (chili, BBQ, and chicken alfredo.... Today, I started unpacking the boxes from their move... I felt my age today. Had to rest so got the lap top and wrote. Thanks!

Hmmm. I don't think you know how to slow down and maybe that's what keeps you young! Have fun, regardless of "resting" or not!

Wow, that was a lot of revelations in a lot of different areas. So much going on.
I have to ask, do you have like a large bulletin board where you keep track of all of this? This is so far beyond my comprehension how you weave this many storylines together coherently.
An excellent chapter. Perfectly written. A joy to read. Makes me envious. :-)

Hello, Julie! Hope all is well with you. thanks for the awesome review and the stars. I appreciate it very much. As for a bulletin board...the answer is no. The story lives in my head... crammed in there...and its no wonder that at times I short circuit. I have a note pad...scratched, scribbled, and scratched again as I see how the story is unfolding. That's about it. Appreciate your kindness.

I think I know what property Rebecca has inherited, ghost and all, or I might be completely on the wrong track. Anyway this was another drama filled chapter, well written, Carol.
cheers,

I can't imagine learning you've been adopted, coming from the mouth of a lawyer. I hope this isn't some sort of nasty trick on Rebecca. I'm glad Jenna and Eleanor's relationship is repaired, and I hope Matthew survives. Lots of interesting things going on in this chapter. Blessings. Carol

My husband learned at the age of 32 when he went for a copy of his birth certificate. His friend, who worked there, was surprised that my husband had never mentioned it. Oops! Thanks as always for the review and for enjoying.

That's a horrible way to find out. I'm surprised his adoptive parents never told him.
Comment from Ulla
As I am adopted, I can identify with this. However I always knew I was adopted so that never came as a big surprise, and so it should be. To withhold that from a child is a crime in my view. I loved the chapter, Carol. So much is happening. Ulla xcx

In the paragraph that begins, "Jenna? I thought the two of you did Margaret's . . ." you have "Danny chuckled" instead of "Danni chuckled."
Carol, there is a whole lot going on here - lots of characters, lots of situations to deal with, lots to digest, as Rebecca pointed out.
Thanks for creating this great story.

Fixed and thanks for the help.... I am so far behind and life isn't helping at the moment. I might have taken on too much with this story but I hadn't expected everything else. Thanks for enjoying it. I truly appreciate your support.

Thanks for sharing another find chapter. But most of all, for reassuring me there are still people on this site who aren't only out to bolster their own numbers by diminishing the competition, for lack of a better word. LOL. I'm sure you're wondering what I'm talking about, but you'll know when my comments about the voting post start spreading. I don't usually read others' comments, but thank you for yours, and the reassurance of your good heart.

That's a surprise twist - for her and for the readers. But thye need to ind Matthew, get him back to health, and explain jenna's situation. Eleanor may be able to sense where he is .... Very well written - a fine chapter.

I had to laugh at Jenna telling her mother to just get on with it and tell her since she's the one who withheld important information that caused a lot of unnecessary heartache.
I guess being adopted is contagious! Now we learn that Rebecca is adopted. I'm sure she and Jenna are even closer now.

i hope you will find it interesting as the story unfolds concerning the adoption and Rebecca's new family. And I hope someone finds Donatelli before it's too late. Thanks as always.

This is an awesome chapter. Everything is coming together nicely. Jenna is a hot mess and I'm curious what direction you are going to take her. I wonder if her and Donatelli will get together. The big question of the day is who is the father of her baby.
As usual you grab the readers attention from the beginning and keep them connected to the book until the end.
You are a great author and I seriously want more. Shame on you for keeping me on the edge (ha, ha).
Great Job.
