When she convinced herself that it was safe to return to work, Jenna noticed a small, discreet box on her desk -- a pregnancy test. Attached was a note from Rebecca -- "I'm running out for a few things. As your friend, I am concerned. Toss the test or use it. I won't mention it again. Just take care of yourself." more evolves

The questions Jenna contemplated would be what any woman in her circumstances would worry about. Written well, Carol. Another good read but not a good night for Donatelli though.
Cheers

I am thrilled that Jenna's emotions were on spot for you as the reader. Thank you so much for enjoying it.

As ever, a skilfully written chapter filled with emotion and action. Firstly with Jenna's discovery of her pregnancy, then the touching scene with Garth, overseen by Donatelli who gets the wrong end of the stick. He is then followed and a plan hatched, once in the club, for his evening to be violently curtailed. It certainly hasn't been his night! The narrative and dialogue are excellent and I particularly like the description of the fight with those short, 'punchy' sentences. If I were to nit-pick, the only quibble I have is below. But great writing, Carol! Debbie
he saw Jenna with Garth, his long-term rival, wrapped in his arms (I wondered if this sentence could be reworked so that it doesn't sound as if Garth is wrapped in his arms?)

Forgive me for being so far behind in telling you how much I appreciate your time and support in my writing. Life has handed me another one of those "circumstances I didn't expect" and I am falling behind. Nothing new, right? Just know that your thoughts on my writing mean a lot to me. Thank you.
Smiles and hugs, Carol
Forgive my cut and paste... I promise to do better!

This chapter for your book is very well written and I enjoyed very much listening to it. It flows very well when it is read aloud and their story is exciting. May your weekend be blessed. Patricia.

Lots of info and action in this chapter! Perhaps this isn't the baby of a rapist? Of course, that is where her horror would be when finding out she's pregnant. You may find a different course.
Donatelli can't take two steps without stepping in it...and he jumps to conclusions way too easily. He'd better get his head in the game before someone takes it off!

Man, Carol, you really are a good writer! This was tense from start to finish, and I couldn't find one technical error.
Really good story, so far. Keep 'em comin'!

Silly old Donatello, one wouldn't have the bad luck he had that day, Doyle's hired killer on the make following him to a dive where bikers hang out, and he manages to snare a fight, and all because his weaknesses have found him out, his rage is stupidity, exciting episode Carol, well done, blessings Roy

Smirnoff, seems to always turn to smarten off. And drunken boys with attitudes tend to lose their manners if everything doesn't go exactly their way. :-) Thanks for sharing.

That's the truth! My brother was a "chug the whole bottle" Smirnoff drinker and his happy go lucky would turn ugly sour. Unfortunately, the liquor won and he died alone. Appreciate the comments and your time as always.

Wow, a lot was happening here in this chapter. Jenna learns she's pregnant, and Garth provides comfort. But Donatelli witnessed that and get home into a pickle as drunk as he is. What a mess. Ulla xcx

Wait till you get to the next chapter, Ulla. Doyle's got his fingers in everything and he's not going to let up. To him, revenge is sweet.

I'm looking forward to it. Just released a new chapter to Dreams myself. xx

Well that's a fine pickle Donatelli has gotten himself in. This reminds me of a soap opera in the sense that every episode leaves us with a cliffhanger. Haha!
So he called Danni on the phone. The ghosts seem to basically function as living people in many ways. It's an interesting device to use in the story.
Until next time...
