That was a thrilling read. What a scary thing to witness! You described the setting and the event really well. I felt like I was there, too. And you managed to fit in all the technical aspects in an accessible way. One complaint: "Insert Picture" appears a couple of times in the story. I assume something didn't upload correctly, which is too bad. But the writing was great.

Thanks for the review and rating. Yes, I will clean it up. These stories are from a self published book that I am trying to finalize. Usually I put 3-4 pictures in each Novella/Chapter.

This is a great story if not sad. It's too gad the foreman had t die in a freak accident. You would think they would have shut the mine down until they shored up that part of the roof.

You're welcome. I hope you break them up into at least three sections otherwise it can be a chore reading all of them.
