An interesting comparison between the story of Mary and Martha and the writing of music and lyrics. Sometimes the choice is a difficult one, but abiding with Jesus is always better. Blessings. Carol

The story of Marth and Mary is one of my favorites in the Bible. I always get a chuckle as I read or listen to the story. I can see Martha busting her butt getting things ready and wishing she could sit at Jesus's feet. HEY! somebody's got to get the work done.

What an absolutely delightful piece of work. It flows so effortlessly as if the words were created to be next to each other in this order.
The central and recurring theme of "sometimes there is no right or wrong..." is a wonderful motif.
It reminds me of a catchy "hook" in a "can't get it out of my head" Beatle song!
High praise indeed!
p.s. thank you for the thoughtful review you left for my "love is the storm" poem. Much appreciated.

What a beautiful poem! I really enjoyed how you share the theme of wisdom throughout. Your use of rhyme creates a lovely flow that makes the message even more beautiful. The final lines are especially powerful. Keep up the fantastic work!

The Bible will last forever, and wherever it goes, the story of Martha and Mary will be told. Martha wanted everything perfect for her guests, but Mary need have no guilt for the part she took in Christ's visit.

Each woman had a different perception of how to serve the Lord. Martha thought it was through hard work, and Mary thought it was through listening and learning. We each must choose our path, and the Lord will understand.

Yes, each woman had a precious love for Jesus, I think, yet showed it in different ways. I'm prone to service and tend to go where I'm needed, yet I love loafing with the Lord. :)) :))
Wonderful poem of the different gifts.
Sending along my very best today as always.

When I hear this story it reminds me of the saying, 'You're majoring on the minors.' I think all of us at one time or another get hung on what's not really important. Thank you for sharing your God given wisdom with us, again.
