This poem, The Poem That Never Ends, I find to be aimed at one of three who might cause this endless procession. It is a loved one, God, or love itself. Okay, maybe nature.

What a wonderful romance poem about the one you love who undergirds all of your poetry. The seasons come and go, and you enjoy each one, but they begin and end, unlike your love which is constant and brings out the best within you.
Such a beautiful sentiment, Jess, to the one who inspires you and gives you the spark to express yourself so brilliantly through your poetry.

There are many cycles that never seem to end, and what grows old always leads to a new beginning. What a wonderfully written poem. Best of luck with your writing! Have a great day, and God bless.

This poem is simply beautiful! You capture the seasons with such grace.
The progression from winter's snow to spring's violets was beautiful. Aalmost like watching a landscape change through the window. My favorite is when you describe this person as an everlasting "poem that never ends." Perfect!

Comment from Gloria ....
A fine free verse this is. The rhythm catches the vagaries of the seasons, and a relationship within words that feel they may come to a conclusion, but in truth never do.
I very much enjoyed this and may we always feel the spark of pen and ink.

-Very nice artwork and presentation, Jess.
-You have written a very good poem
with effective imagery that tells your story.
-I like how you combine the love poem with the seasons.
-I like the image "closed the page on snow."
-I also like the line, "I have written through the seasons."
-Effective transition from that to him being "woven in
each closing stanza, every first."
-Excellent description follows that and a very good concluding verse.
-Very well done.

Very beautiful poem. Whoever this was written about is a very lucky person, and you have aptly described how I feel about my husband. I wish I had written this, it touched my heart. :)

Superb, Jess! As ever, your verse is infused with deep emotion that stirs the reader. As the seasons come and go, so your poetry touches on their transience and finds some respite. But what is consistently woven through those changes in life is the loss you bear. The beauty is there but the story is never-ending. A virtual six from me. Thank you for sharing your excellence. Take care Debbie (And congrats on your last contest win! You had me foxed though and I kept coming back to it:))
