Poor Noah; his temper is always getting him into trouble. He's a bit like me there; I say things before I've thought them through. But it's all done now, and I think he made a good job apologising!! LOL. :)) Sandra xxx

Noah is working on that temper. At least where Sami is concerned. Thank you for going back and reading when no monies attached.

Another excellent chapter about Sami and Noah. I like how Sami used a iron pan to stop the criminal. Their love continues to grow and Noah is very protective of her. I love the story :) well done!!

The only thing that bothered me is that the criminals are immigrants, a story Trump promotes.

Statistics show that out of the total numbers of crimes commited in the usa for the 23 to 24 fiscal year is 1,232,428 and out of those committed by immigrants for a year is 577 crimes.

Sources of statistics ...

According to the U.S. Border Patrol enforcement (CBP) --the crimes of homicide, manslaughter, burglary, Robbery, Larceny, theft, and fraud committed by immigrants during the 20 23 to 2024 fiscal year was 577 crimes for one year.

Here in Texas that is the case. Many are illegal immigrants, the got aways have commented most of our crimes. I could show you stats, they are pages long that prove that, especially in our border counties. This story is set in West Texas, not far from the border towns. It's a very real problem here. I have a feeling in Auora, Colorado they would feel the same. I hear it's moving into parts of Denver. I know most of the media is trying to cover it up, but it's real. I have relatives there. Thank you for the kind review.

Hello Barbara,
parts of this story were pretty exciting, but it would seem by now that Sami would understand the severity of the situation and stop wearing her feelings on her sleeve. She appears to be easily offended, and if I were Noah, I'd be taking that into account. In any relationship there is going to be times that are rocky, and sometimes a person just has to rise above the situation and take a more mature approach to things. Just my opinion.
Have a blessed day.
Tom

Sami has been uprooted from her family and has only been there a few days. She is still very worried about Myra and feels responsible for Myra. Thank you for the kind review.

I liked reading this chapter. It flowed well, and the dialogue added to the action. And gotta love the clean kiss and make-up scene at the end.
little fix:
"Boss, it's none of my business but maybe you should make the first move and invite Sami to join us.
I think I would add a comma after the word 'business' to break up the independent clauses here.

Thank you for the help. I will recheck that area. I think my grammar check took that comma out. I appreciate the kind review.

The chapter is written and edited well. You did a good job showcasing the raw emotions of Noah, which go to his feelings for Sami. I'm assuming the scene will shift next chapter, when they have to move locations.

Hi Barbara, Galvin is trouble, that is for sure. Everything started out nicely and then it went down hill from there. Lovely kisses were shared in the end, lol. Congrats on your 1000 posts. Hugs, Ulla xcx

Sometimes all of us speak in a tone we shouldn't and don't really mean to use, but not matter how much we apologize, it will be just behind the scenes from then on. Thanks for sharing.

Congratulations on post number one thousand, Barb. I'm starting to think that Galvin Baldwin might be one of the bad guys. This could be interesting.

That was a nice scene between Sami and Noah that you ended the chapter on. The beginning was quite intense and I could really picture everything happening as I was reading. Another excellent chapter, Barbara, I really enjoyed reading it.
