I really enjoyed this poem, it's really how I feel also! Talk is cheap! So many times I have watched people making promises to do something and I will be thinking, you have no intention of actually doing it! And thinking that I want to make a concerted effort to never be like that! Great post! Maddy

This twenty-syllable poem, Show Me, has the proper syllable count and identifies the missing piece to passing on processes, and skills -- mentors.....

Very well done, and an excellent reminder for all of us. In this year of elections, it reminds me of all the promises we're hearing from both sides of every issue. Thank you, and congratulations on your high rank in writing and poetry!

Wow, you nailed it with this one - a perfect entry for the 20 syllable poem. You made every word count in meaning and the rhyme just adds punch. Good luck in the contest.

An excellent entry for the 20 Syllable Poem contest. I have always needed to live by those words because when someone tries to explain how to do something I simply can't understand unless they are showing me. I used to study in a similar way. I would read out loud and also write down what I was reading so that it would get into my head. Good luck in the contest.

This is absolute right that actions speak louder than words. You can say this, but it don't mean a thing if you don't follow though. I wish I could give you a six star but I'm out. This poem is wonderful and holds a strong meaning. Thank you.

This is very nicely written for the 20 syllable contest and I wish you the very best with the contest. Your advice in this particular 20 syllables is very prudent for all of us to follow. Our actions speak louder than our words sometimes. Patricia.
