This two-person point of view is truly excellent. I am thrilled for you both that you are blending so well. I like it of course. My brain is tired. I just wrote "The Elevator" for a contest. It is suitably snarky. I cracked myself up with this one. Send me good wishes please for my move on the 20th. I will be going to Houston to get my stuff out of storage 25+ years of memories. Half will be donated, You can't put a 3 bedroom house in a one bedroom apartment. It will be tough, but then it will be over. I can finish nesting and get on building my new life. I will be happy here. My sister's seem to adore me. What good taste they have! :-) Karen

This is so much fun, in the story, of course. The reality would be less thrilling and more dentist-chair enjoyable as the smoking wreck is abandoned in favor of a cramped buggy ride to the middle of incommunicado country.

This is very well written. Your sentence structure and your paragraphing is outstanding. I wish you the very best with all of your writing and I wish you a very good day. May God bless your week and your month. Patricia.

Oh, Rachelle, you have such a way with words and fine comedic timing. I think you could do standup comedy. I loved your similes, such as:

- like a hillbilly pig roast gone wrong
- a strangled, operatic wheeze
- like a child whose cat's just been run over by a dump truck

And this is just poetic:

They're the looks of omniscience, laced with trepidation, between writers who understand the terrifying symbolism and the kind of foreshadowing present in only the most memorable of adventure tales.

What a fine, funny story this is and could only be told by great friends. - Jim

Hello Rachelle,
I have to say, your account of the whole situation is pretty doggone funny. I can't imagine what those Amish men must be thinking to have the Leopard Queen descend upon them. Talk about a clash of cultures. I'm loving this story that the two of you are telling. I'm looking forward to the next chapter. Well done gal.
Have a blessed evening.
Tom

Ah yes, the best-laid plans are herein described with excellence via such a prime example as this jovial catastrophic record of your travel.

-- roils of smoke out from beneath the dashboard like a hillbilly pig roast gone wrong -- The sensory senses have to be tickled pink over shiny descriptive gems like this. Your distinctive sharing of your visual-self is topnotch, Rachelle. If only you had taken some selfies....
XOXO Lily

PS - Have you also checked out GW Hargis's account of this? We're doing it as a tag-team novel and both give our differing accounts of the same scenario. She's hilarious, and I know you would love her take on it all. xoxo

LMAO

I'm loving the back and forth chapters between you and Gretchen. You are both so funny and such a wonderful story tellers. The Amish troup reminded me of the movie, Witness. LoL

Well done, Rachelle (*<>*)

I am glad you both were able to cadge a lift, even if it is horse power! You made me smile and I am wondering what Gretchen is thinking about this road trip? Perhaps I should look her up right now. A fun and entertaining story Rachelle, love Dolly x x x
