June,
This is a very nice idea for this contest entry.
Your author note and artwork just add to its overall appeal.
Connection with kaleidoscope and dragonfly is great.
Mark
P.S. Might consider adding a dash or squiggle after your first line, which IMHO sets off your two concluding lines.

Good suggestion!

How cool! No wonder the dragonflies in such odd movements. And bees and flies have such interesting eyes, too. I can't imagine viewing the world like that. And bees see in UV - such a different world for them! Best wishes in the contest!

Sometimes in life we need to shift focus in order to get a new perspective. A dragonfly can do it much more easily! Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Much appreciated!

The eye of the dragonfly must be something specifically designed by God for his reasons and he gave it to the dragonfly. I wish you the very best with all of your writing. By the way, I'd love kaleidoscopes I have one that has stayed glass in it and it's just beautiful. Patricia .

This lune poem, Kaleidoscope Eyes, has the proper formatting and defines the dragonflies' visual acuity as something most easily compared to a kaleidoscope.
