Hey sis, I'm just now getting on fan story this week. I think I'm a little late. L O L I love this rhyming poem that speaks from your heart to your listeners concerning those times that we all struggle. You gave us a perfect prescription for regaining our emotional equilibrium. Thanks!

Hi Dan, it is proven that women usually have more problems than men when it comes to having the blues. This particular bright side poem was about those blues that hang around and you can't put your finger on what is wrong. I have had them a lot lately, and felt like giving up, but it helps so much to give it to God.

And I thank you for the lovely comments and review, and also for the six stars, my friend.
    Love, Debi

I?m sorry you?re going through those times that vex the soul. I have been praying for you. I am so glad that we have the creator of the world end the savior of our soul at our beck and call. Although he doesn?t always choose to remove our pain, he does always choose to walk with us through it. Hang in there sis brighter days are coming!

I only get that way when someone disappoints and hurts me. I give everything to God and feel better. But if I never get an apology then I guard my heart so I don't get hurt again.

Hi, Debi.
I am not religious and I am sometimes envious of those who are because, as your poem shows, they have their faith to fall back on during dark times. Alas, have to rely on logic and reasoning to sustain me!

Your poem is beautifully presented and penned with nice rhyming verses. The meter starts off well too, but staggers a little bit later - lines 8 and 11 in particular left me thinking they could fit into the swing a little better...

Hi Steve, I love that you mentioned those two lines to me, because they were iffy to me, but when nobody says anything, then you start to feel secure with it. I felt the bumps in the road with them, so thanks so much.

I will go back and change them back to where I had them in the first place.
Thanks so much. I do appreciate good feedback much more than false praise.

I do appreciate the kind comments too, as I love respect that I have with friends who are not religious. We have an agree to disagree friendship.
I have nothing but deep respect for you and for them. So thanks for sending it back this way. And thanks again, my friend for the great review. Love, Debi

Sometimes, sorrow is necessary, such as in John 112:35, "Jesus wept." But, God does not want grief or circumstances to overwhelm us, and ruin our testimonies to others. We know in Heaven, all tears will be wiped away.

Jim, many thanks for your kind comments about my bright side poem.
And yes, you are so right, and sometimes there is good reason to weep.
But this poem in particular was about those moments when we just have a black cloud hanging over us and we aren't even sure what is wrong.
It's more of a woman thing, as I am sure you saw that with your lovely wife when she was alive. Women and their hormones can sure do a number on us sometimes. LOL..
Thanks for your wise comments tho, Jim. You are so very right about that serious need of weeping. Thanks again, my friend. Love, Debi

Sometimes I find the sadness sneaks up and slams into you. This is a lovely read about getting over those sad days into the sunny sunny smiles once more. Artwork is gorgeous Debi. A lovely presentation.

Awe, thanks Valda, women usually have more problems than men when it comes to having the blues. Those old hormones that still pop in there from time to time. It really does help to give it to God, doesn't it?

And I thank you for the lovely comments and review, my dear dear friend.

Hi Debi,
This is a nicely rhymed poem of abab quatrains about how prayer brings you to the bright side when you fall into grief or depression.
Keep writing and stay healthy.
Have a great weekend.

A beautifully written poem, Debi, and a message well sent...one I can easily identify with.

Indeed there are days when satan tries, and yet with me, he will fail.

God's grace is always there...just ask, and He hears, and sends, a bright and shiny moment, reminding us, there's always a brighter side of life.

Thanks for sharing this with us, it was a joy reading your nicely rhymed quatrain verses, along with the picture...Yes, I surely can identify with you!

Blessings!

Warmly,
Victoria

Oh Victoria, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your most lovely review, comments and for the honor of your six stars. You can't know how much it all means to me.

And you are so right about God's grace, and it always works for me even when I know that women usually have more problems than men when it comes to having the blues. Those old hormones that still pop in there from time to time. It really does help to give it to God, doesn't it?

And I thank you again for this wonderful review, my dear dear friend.

You're very welcome, Debi, if not for God, sometimes I wonder how I made it this far...Life often surrounds us with the negative, and it is our Faith, and that alone, that makes things change...Prayer is the answer! Blessings!

    Love and Hugs,

    Victoria

Hi Debi, It is normal, from time to time, for people to feel blue. Most of the time, we say we don't know Why we're feeling the way that we do, but deep down inside, we know exactly what is going on within us and Why it's getting us down. The problem is how to solve/settle what's going on in our life that is upsetting us. When struggling in life, it's always good to go to our Lord for guidance. I can't help but to wonder Why you feel that Satan is attacking you? D, your poem has good sensory appeal, and it is a poem that many can/will relate to. Of note:

And I'll go where I can confide

Good rhyming. Well-chosen photo. Keep looking for the brighter side, look for the good. Feel better. Well done. Xo. M

So we already talked about most of this already, but you know that some of it has to be that we all know women usually have more problems than men when it comes to having the blues. Those old hormones that still pop in there from time to time. It really does help me tho to give it to God.

Hi Pam, thank you for your always beautiful reviews. I always appreciate
all your supportive and kind words too.

I look forward to coming over and reading your poem on Sunday too.
I just wondered if we are not fans. I must check because I don't think I get notified about you. That is a travesty. And even tho I review a little only, if I am reminded some days I feel like reviewing. Thanks for telling me about Sunday. Would you believe that with us getting ready for our 50th anniversary for next weekend, I had forgotten about Mother's Day until you said something.

Thanks again, Sweetie. Love and hugs, Debi

Yes, we are having a small 40 people gathering at my sons beautiful home next door. It was going to be just our children and grandchildren and a couple friends. Then we decided to add a few people from our lives who have made a big difference in the fifty years success. One would have been our pastor but he passed away last year from covid lung. You know how it is when special people make a difference. For instance, here. You are so special. I'm looking forward to your poem Sunday. I posted one that I wrote for my mom my first mothers day without her. It is thirty years old next year. See you on Sunday,
    Sweetie.💕
