This is a poem with an ethereal feel to it and the presentation is beautiful. The emotion is heartfelt painting a picture of love that was now lost. So lovely. Very nicely done.

Thank you very much, Gretchen. The poem is fiction but is based on my personal life... I can conjure emotions from my past. I think most writers and poets do that. Other times is complete fiction. I get my dramatic style from my Spanish culture.

Sometimes we get trapped in a mood of sad longing for what no longer exists. Maybe it was always an illusion. The Brazilians, and maybe the Portuguese too, call it saudades. Your poem is filled with emotion, but it's beauty saves it from crossing the line into depressing. I like the repeating lines, it's a device I use myself but I think it only works when it's spontaneous.
