This rating is only six, like your poem, but maybe if you get enough of them, it will repair the damage from the person who f****d a two-year-old with their unjust two-star review of your piece.
A well-metered and creative approach to accompany what I assume is another one of your brilliant original works of art.

Hey, SS, hi. All I did for this pic was add the hand holding the book. Other than that it was just a pic I found in a Google search. Lol. I really appreciate the big six, friend. Even with 2 sixers, the two star still kept it down though. I asked them the reason but of course didn't get a response back. What can you do? Thanks for the stop in and the giant rating, SS. Have a good one, friend.

Yeah it takes three 6s to average a two-star rating out to a 5. Of course you can promote it to get over 10 ratings, but that's a lot to spend. And you might attract even more haters. As you probably noticed, the two was left by a newbie.

Yeah, promote it. Hahaha 🤣 I didn't even promote it when I actually needed it. I'm sure not wasting money on this dumb thing now. Lol. Plus, I'm sure the haters are lurking in the shadows. I had fun writing it, that's all that matters. Yeah, he's a newbie but already knows how it works on here. It doesn't bother me though. What comes around goes around. I'm sure he won't like it either. Ha.
Had fun with your latest 5-7-5 content but anyone not from here won't get it. Again, no sense in promoting. Hahaha

I saw an article just yesterday by a girl who's in her early twenties now who said she was so grateful the option to change genders wasn't available when she was in Middle School. Back then, she hated being a girl, hated dating, hated having her period, etc. But guess what - it was a PHASE!! You know, those things teenagers GO THROUGH??
So this poem definitely speaks to me. Even Bruce Jenner said he had remorse for months and months after his transition... and what was he? Sixty-something?
The world is in a topsy-turvy mess, just like this stupid president's brain.
Glad you spoke out. xo

Yes, the world is going crazy. I can't believe some the crap that's happening. Way too much stuff to even mention but this was one that reaches the top, telling kids they might be a different gender long before they even know what any of that is about. And yes, even some of the older kids are, like you said, just going through a phase. It's ridiculous what's going on.
Thank you so much for the fantastic review and giant sixer, Rachelle. I'm glad you liked my little rant. Lol.

I did! I've given it, myself, and my husband chimes in the with same bell.

I actually appreciated very much your idea. I think perhaps a more gentle approach in getting your good point across might work with the children a bit better. Your words flowed together pretty well.

Thank you for the review, LoAnn. Yes, this really isn't as much for children as getting a point across. Lol. I was just in one of those moods. Have yourself a wonderful day.

You are lucky in that you have everything fixed in your head. I think that no child should have any kind of sex surgery until they are 21. I also think they need to pay for half of it. I don't know if it is natural evolution, or all the chemicals in our food, air, and water, but we are blending sexes and that's all there is to it. You can hide your head in the sand, or gnash your teeth at what you see you think is wrong, but change is everywhere. Just remember women once had no opinions allowed, no vote, no choices, and that was the norm. Karen

Thank you, Karen. I'm not sure what I have fixed in my head. Yes, things are changing but I don't think they should be telling or young children, in school, they could be an opposite sex when they're not even old enough to know what their bodies are telling them yet.

Kids are speaking up earlier and earlier. I wish they had the blissful ignorance that we had, but they don't. With tv and internet 24/7, do you think they are unaware anymore?

Dang! That portrait is striking! Good rhymes and syllabic reading flow.
"a women with a beard." Should be 'woman'--singular.
Interesting tongue-in-cheek poem. I, too, am appalled at the social situation covered by this topic.

Thank you for the great review and for catching the goof, Go. I had something else there at first and forgot to correct it after changing it. I appreciate the stars. I'm glad you liked my little rant. Have a great rest of your weekend.

I like how you question perceived norms. The rhyme scheme made this poem easy to read. I liked the picture you used. The point of this poem was made clear as you read it, opening up as the reader progresses.

Might I ask if you liked the piece, the reasoning behind the 2 star review? If you go up to 'community' at the top of the page and then down to 'Q&A' under the drop down and then down to the fifth explanation under, 'How many stars should I give something I read' you'll see that a two star rating means "Below average, needs lots of work." Would you have any suggestions on how the piece can be improved? Any advice or suggestion would be greatly appreciated seeing as how the rating was so low. Thanks
-
The wording and rhyme scheme for me was a bit elementary. Doesn't mean I'm right I'm a newer writer.
-
Yeah, it was a bit elementary because it was an entry in a children's writing prompt. Thanks for the stop in though.
-
Oh, I'm so sorry. I didn't realize. I'm very new here.

Though I would never read this to a child, it is an excellent commentary on the free fall of our culture as the nanny state makes a power grab for our kids. You covered an amazing number of points on the issue in this well-metered, rhyming poem.
a women with a beard. (woman)
It'll be interesting to see the responses you get.
Best of luck!

Hey, I just noticed you have the word "be" twice in the 2nd line. Not sure how I missed that before!
-
I can't believe I didn't catch that either. Thanks again.
