This is lovely. I love the idea of a dog coming to the rescue of a tiny little kitten. Your poem finishes on an upbeat note where the friendship proves to be lasting.

This poem, Lifesaver, tells a fanciful tale of the noble hound helping the lost kitten return to its home, safe with mother cat and the rest of the kitty cat family. The wording needs a bit of tweaking and a child's poem, I feel, should be a bit more structured with meter.
