Hi Gypsy Rose!
Thank you for the introduction to a new form of Japanese poetry. I have never read one in this style before. No rules such as kigo or satori lines required? I loved the aspect of a prayer. This is a beautiful composition.

Kim, thank you very much.
You don't need a satori or kigo with Yamato uta.
Yamato uta is a Japanese poetry form written in FREE VERSE which means no rules or rhyme and it can be as long as you like. Poets created THE YAMATO UTA POEM during the Heian Period 700 century. Yamato-uta are composed of many words born from people's hearts, as leaves grow from seeds. People use these words to express their thoughts about what they see or hear. click here if you want to read more

This is a stunning presentation Marival... the composition, the construction, the graceful intent woven so beautifully throughout this magical form of Yamato Uta floats in the air of grace.
And true to form, this poem is born of, and from your heart, baring all the fruits of your kind and generous soul and all that you have learned through the many lessons dealt. Through all the highs and lows the connection you have to your faith, your heart is open and is ready to receive and give of its bounty though your skill, your craft, your art, your love.
Amo el arte de tu lenguaje... Amo el tono de tu alma. Tus palabras son inmortales y vivirán a través de las generaciones de la gracia que les permitió respirar querida MariVal.
With our thoughts we create...
the indelible legacy of divine gifts.
Warmest regards,
James.

Hi Gypsy, your prayer-in-a-poem is heartfelt, and your words are sincere.
Of special note:
bless my pens and paper
bless the words I write
may they be beautiful
in your sight
(May the words of your pen always flow with beauty and might.)
Beautiful graphics and presentation. Xo. M

Thank you for sharing this poet's poem with us. It always amazes when I think about how wonderful God is to us. He knows what's in each of our hearts. We don't have to say anything, because He know. This presentation if one of your very best.

Yes, I agree (*÷*)
Thank you very much the excellent review and kind words, Shelley. I don't see the rhyme. If it has some is unintentional.

O, that we are remembered after we are gone, is the hope of many of us.
I liked the words of your poem and the mood that it set.
I do believe you would have that wish of being remembered.

I loved this poet's prayer! I think it speaks for all writers and poets as we want to speak for those who are unheard and to bless the future generations as our words connect with them!
