There is a light feel and flow to your words. I like the line "let the bottle float in the ocean." It adds to the feeling in your words. Excellent free verse form and use of words.

More poignant than pretty. How many times do we wish we could capture a memory and bottle it? And send that bottle off upon the sea as a remembrance to a loved one? Very touching. Rod

For me your poem captured a wish to preserve a memory for a loved one after we are gone. I loved the imagery of trapping the memory in a bottle and releasing it into the ocean. That was so powerful. Great job - this was a beautiful poem.

This is sweet and I like the idea of putting a memory in a bottle. How I wish we could do that for posterity! This seems to have poignancy and sunniness in equal measure but I end up feeling happy with a smile on my face! An original and imaginative free verse! Well done and good luck! Debbie

A love that wants to set the other one free when she's gone, but though it's a nice thought, memories of true love don't disappear easily. I did enjoy the poem.
