I will be continuing yours tomorrow.
I have a mouth full of ulcers given to me from the new asthma inhalers the hospital has given me. I'm waiting to see my own asthma nurse on Tuesday. It's so painful to eat and swallow. It's really getting me down. Sorry to put that on you, but it stops me concentrating on reading and writing. 🤐😭🥰🥰

It's already in the works! LOL Thanks for reading this chapter and reviewing. Layla;s a wreck, but I'm not giving up on her. I think she'll get her second wind and come out fighting. After all, she is one of my characters. LOL

This one had a lot of activity that made following it a little difficult. You might, when you go back later, make it a little clearer, but it is great for the first draft. The paragraph that starts Pete rolled his eyes is confusing as if two different people are talking.

Thank you, Ulla. Layla will be in interrogation in the next chapter. I've had a little family fiasco so my writing was slowed, but never fear I'm so ready to give the Chief what he's got coming.
