A good continuation to this story. It was heartening to hear about Mrs L and her representative, and to know that somebody did care about all you had been through.

Thank you Sarah. Yes, she was amazing, and I have the utmost respect for her. I don't know what I would have done if she hadn't supported me in this! Greta review.

Oh, Wendy. It's so wonderful that there are some good people in the world and in this space. This must have felt like such a shaft of sunlight after your previous experiences.

Your passion and anger shows through in regards to how the DOCS staff handled, well badly handled Jonathon's situation. How could they have thought what they contemplated would work for him, I wonder. Well told Wendy, and well done.

I don't think they thought it through or really cared too much. To them he waan't a person. They just had to tick a box that they'd found omewhere for him to go. Thank you so much for your caring reviw. Very much appreciated.

Wendy, As I read this I could feel the turmoil you were in trying to do what was best for Jonathan. Our oldest son is named Jonathon and we love him with all our hearts as we do our twin sons too. You used great descriptive words and emotions. I hope things work out for Jonathan. love and blessings, Teri

Hi Wendy, All that I can say is WOW. You gave your heart and soul, and your love for Jonathan was exhibited in every line that your wrote. I thought that only here in the USA are people and families with all type of needs put into hotel room. Of note:
I was determined by now that I would continue to advocate for Jonathan, no matter the personal cost. I'd made a commitment, and I would fulfil it.
(Wendy, the world needs more people like yourself. Selfishness is not in your vocabulary.)
A story from the heart of you, a story from the best of you, a story of love, hope, and courage. Well done. Please accept my virtual Sixer.

Sorry to hear this how badly the system failed Jonathan. One of my husband's brothers is special needs. It was very hard for his parents to get him the support he needed. They did end up part of a news story, as there was funding for one young person with his needed level of care in their area, and three young people applying for it. Thankfully, my husband's brother is in a good home now where he is very well cared for.

I am glad to hear he is in a good home and being cared for well. Each person is of value and deserves to be cared for with respect and compassion. Thank you so much for the review, and I hope you will continue to read the chapters of his unfolding story.

What a wonderful story of individual initiative overcoming bureaucratic bungling. I was overawed by the way you handled it, and by the time I came to the end of your account, your words, 'my child as much as Sheryl's, but not by birth. By love.' brought a lump to my throat, if not actually a tear to my eye. Bravo!

Thank you so very much Tony. Both the words you offered in your review, and the six stars, mean a great deal to me. Much appreciated.

I admire and love your determination to see that Jonathan got the appropriate care he needed. It is unbelievable that the DOCS could possibly think ANY nonverbal, disabled person could live alone in a wheel chair, in a motel. What if a worker didn't feel like going to his/her shift and a replacement couldn't be found? Your husband's idea was the perfect solution. I'm glad it all worked out, thanks to you.

Yes, so far, so good. Thank you so much for the lovely review. Who knows what the DOCS workers were thinking? Or just not thinking!
