Hi June
This short poem says a lot. It reminds us the anger and resentment should not be held onto. Love melts all coldness and should be spread.
Congrats on placing third in the contest.
Keep writing and stay healthy
Have a great weekend.

Dear June, Such a beautiful poem, with a lot of depth and feeling. It's hard to come up with anything negative. If I had to,I would say to have a background color, but it's really not that important. By the way, I think you should have won the contest! Have a good day and God bless!

Beautifully said! I love the metaphor of frozen water for the emotions and the suggested solution to warm a person who has emotions frozen perhaps from past hurts with love.
Congratulations on your third place win!!

Wonderful entry for the 5/7/5 poetry contest. I like the juxtaposition between cold winter and warm feelings. Good syllables count and connection between lines. I like the presentation and word imagery too.

Yes -'chiseled' has a powerful effect here in this short format poem about love, juxtaposed so effectively with the potential warmth from the 'glow of love.'

This is a beautifully sweet sentiment. It has images of an iceberg being slowly warmed by son.... (Wait a minute. Isn't that already happening!? lol)
A good combination of nature and humanity

I like the metaphor of chiseled in relation to emotions... so many times people are rough with those that just need a gentle touch. Great job on the content and it's perfect for the contest. Good luck.

Just followed my muse and let it flow. That?s also how we should handle emotions. Gently and naturally. Glad you liked the sentiments in this one.

I really do like the message of this haiku. It is very well written and it has important point to make. Many times I think peoples emotions are frozen because people are not paying attention to what they are saying. They are too busy working on their iPads, are on their phones to really pay attention. Patric.
