Hi Debi. I feel so bad for not being aware of you health battles. But my dear this Lupus will never erode your beautiful soul or engaging brain. Amid all your treatments and fights
You still manage to write a beautiful poem and I do hope you win this also
Hang in there we are all with you on this one sending a warm hug and as much rain as you need pitter patter
Cheers Chris xx

Thank you for sharing this personal poem with us. I think we've all felt this way at one time or another. Please remember you continue to be in my prayers and I'm sure many others are praying too.

Debi, I'm giving this a Six for your bravery in the face of illness and for bringing the rain for yourself and those of us who may need a soothing sound from above.
I hope you're doing well, my friend! Best, JohnC

OMGosh John, I just get done singing your praises and when it refreshed, here you were again bearing gifts. Even tho I thing we were both in the middle of writing at the same time. ..... Thank you so very much for this lovely review and your kind words and the gracious gift of the sixth star.
This new protocol they have me on is a last ditch effort to save my life. The lupus has taken or attacked every organ in my body already and now after the two major ones, the heart and brain are the ones its after now and what they are fighting. Also to keep my already stage 5 kidney disease to not need a transplant at this time. I am so full of replacement parts and hardware, I am told to stay away from large magnets. Seriously! Haha! God bless you for caring and thank you from the bottom of my heart!!

Oh my gosh, this is truly inspired writing, especially considering the circumstances under which it was written. You are amazingly resilient and surely God has sent the soothing rain as a sign that you are in His loving hands. God bless and safeguard you as you heal. Sending love.

Ginda, you are sweetheart . Thank you and it is because of friends like you that I cried half the way home as I read some of the kind things that were written because of Helen and Sally's posts requesting prayers. Thank you for this lovelier than lovely review and comments. You are so sweet and I thank you with all of my heart for the six stars too. God Bless!

Phenomenal verse, Debbie.
I was not aware of your illness, but I'm very happy that getting your thoughts and feelings down on paper provides you solace.
There are so many high points to unpack...
Highlights for me -
1.connecting emotions to rain
2) the entire final stanza...brilliant rhyming!!!
An impressive 3rd place for September:)

Kitty, you have no idea how much I appreciate your very kind words and compassion. I have tears just trying to type right now. The outpouring of caring well wishes have been overwhelming and I only agreed to the request for prayers because I do know that healing comes from prayer in big numbers so often and I really need them as my lupus seems to be circling around the last few things that it hasn't taken already. My entire body is almost bionic completely and the only thing not affected were my heart and brain and now the last tests showed that they were being attacked. So with all my love I thank you with all of my heart too. After all it is still mine and hopefully we caught in time so the new infusions will work. Thank for the gracious six stars too, my beautiful friend! God Bless!

Stay positive. Debbie.
We?re all sending you prayers and keeping you in our hearts.
Look inside and find your strength, you WILL overcome this.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if every hospital room looked like your picture? This is a wonderful poem from deep in your heart. Please know you have a lot of friends praying for you and wishing this time you have the next best thing to a cure for an incurable illness. Bless you. Great song!

Ah Eddie Rabbit. So good.
Rain cleanses the earth of all of mankind's filth. (Or at least we wish).
Glad you are home. Hospitals suck. Especially when they wake you up early every morning to take your blood. Eeesh.
Get well

Douglas, my man you amaze me. Thank you for this thoughtful review. I am happy to be home, but not sure how much good it did so I am glad that I found so many swell family members to greet me just as we do all that are ill. It was just a matter of time before it hit more major organs so I truly am thankful for you guys. Thanks my dear friend. So very much!

Debi, you're poem is beautifully penned, so heartfelt and filled with love and gratitude.
Of special note:
My writing helps me not complain
And keeps me peaceful as the rain
(The rain can be very soothing. I like the analogy.)
Well done, exceptional writing. You've outdone yourself. Xo. M

Thank you my beautiful SOTU for the being the sweetest and most caring of all my prayer warriors. I don't know what I would do without you. Thanks for this lovely review and so much compassion and gracious six stars. Thanks for being there for me right now. I have never appreciated you so much. Even if the medicine has me crabby, I know you can handle it. Unless you chose not to call me and then I will have to hunt you down. See I told you she's crabby. Lol

A very compelling and magical poem. The repetition throughout is lovely. I felt the peace as well. It is raining here in New Jersey and my sister said in Florida also. We are all connected

Thank you so much Judith and I am so happy to see you. I love the rain most Lu from my bed at night as it brings memories of childhood comfort when it was needed. So it makes sense that it would give that same essence.
I love that as it?s raining there and in Florida. It really does connect us. But boy could I use some sunshine after a few days of it. Lol!
Thanks again, Judith. You are so special, as I can?t tell you how much your pm meant to me too!
