Hi June,
This poem uses 8 words to say what we all should do. If we all did this there would be no more war, violence or hate. What cute but evocative picture of a child's faith and the power of prayer.
Congrats on the honorable mention in the contest.
Keep writing and stay healthy.
Have a great day.

Thank you! I agree - love begins at home - unfortunately, hate often does as well. We need to nurture our children properly.

My pleasure, June. I agree with you here.

Amen!! Yes, we all need to sow seeds of love. That's the only way we can kill hate. I enjoyed reading this contest entry. Thank you for sharing this with us. Good luck with the contest.

Perfect in every way. Not another word is needed to convey this message. We all know how important it is to sow seeds of love, but seldom do we think about actively killing weeds of hate. We all need to weed our gardens. Well done!

I?m really glad you got the gist of what I was trying to express. We need to uproot the bad in order to allow the good to thrive in ourselves and our children.

Hate is a terrible thing for people to harbor, I get the connection between seeds and weeds, after reading "Sow seeds of love" I was (just me) expecting needs, as we do plant seeds for our need, hope this makes sense, none the less an excellent message sent in sow few words, best wishes for your contest****kahpot

Ideally that is true! But in real life with all our fallen foibles our love is not particularly pure. I spent the afternoon with my three grandchildren and I counted "I hate you" quite a few times! Lol. I know it's sibling love.

I wonder if either are natural. I mean the whole nurture verses nature thing in the aspect that live and hate may be taught.
Not sure, but your piece made me think.

Few words that speak volumes June and I enjoyed your sentiment here, love does come much more naturally than hate, and hate is also very exhausting, whereas love is nurturing and pleasing. Love Dolly x
