This was a great chapter. I almost missed it as I have been busy with other stuff. Seeing one of my favourite writers isn't adding to her story today, I had a spare SIX for you. Keep it going not sure if I missed anything.

Good move on Miranda's part! The best defence is an offence! issy is going to realize Miranda is a force to be delt with. I hope that reporter goes after Missy now and leaves Miranda out of it. Well done, Gretchen. I was with her all the way just like a movie. Nancy:)

It's weird that so many people keep referring to this as like watching a movie. That's how it's coming to me. In scenes. Very vivid. Who knows. Thank you so much for this stellar rating and great review. Gretchen

I hope Miranda's side to this situation gets told accurately. Even Waylon thinks Miranda and Mitch make an interesting couple. Thank you for sharing this addition with us. I really like this story.

Yes, talking with a reporter is a no no, but sometimes it the lesser of two evils when someone is spreading bad information that can hurt you. LOL. So, just lie like hell. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you. Miranda won't lie but she just might turn the tables on Missy. Gretchen

Nice progress. Nicely written.
The lead claims that Miranda is not ready for a "pushy reporter", but the conversation doesn't really paint that picture. Maybe offer a little more threat of painting a worse picture of Miranda in her report?
Best wishes.

It's easier to hang up on a reporter than to tell her off in person. Miranda was kind of in between a rock and a hard place , so to speak . Thank you for your wonderful review. Gretchen

Oh, Geeze! I was wondering when she was coming back into the picture. The fact that you downplayed Mitch's infatuation with Miranda adds a new layer to this saga! Another great chapter, Gretchen. Best, JohnC

Reporters always manage to get what they want, by fair means or foul. I am sure Miranda will stand up to her, but at the same time she doesn't wan to get her off-side. I am really enjoying your story. Miranda is a really well-developed character, consistent and authentic. Well done.

You have the perfect viewpoint character in Miranda (duh!) and writing this in the first person couldn't be better because the reader's view of everyone in the book is filtered through her lens. We only know Mitch through Miranda, which means you can dish Miranda (and the reader) some nifty surprises when the "real" Mitch reveals himself. Same with Missy. I thought for a brief minute (a few chapters ago) that Miranda's lens had distorted the image of the true Missy. Okay, I was proven wrong, as was Miranda, when she discovered Missy's hanky-panky in the bathroom. But that doesn't make her a murderer.
You've done another marvelous job with this chaper, Gretchen. I'll be looking forward to her interview with the reporter.

Yes, flirting is flirting, even kids know it when the see it, or feel it or whatever. This was like a short interlude. It was well written and ended with a positive sense of relief for your MC.
Good work.
