I Hear America Singing

Sadly, no longer do we hear the songs Whitman heard.

Very nice Harry! Your poem was the perfect answer to the original. I was truly impressed with the truth that came out in your words that showed a very different time. You really got the drift of this prompt and did a very nice job. Good luck my friend!

The poem, I Hear America Singing, depicts the difference between the individualism and democratic ideal of the nineteenth century and the "Where's mine? Woe is me!" take we see today.

Many people are predicting a civil war before too long. There's too much Hatred being shouted from the rooftops (social media). What a wonderfully written poem about the distance humanity has traveled.

Good luck in the contest!
Have a great day, and God bless.

Thank you for the read and review. I'm so disappointed in the path our country is on.
