Oh gosh, wow, prettybluebirds
Thank God no one present at
the farm was more seriously
injured. Now, we hear about
the, "Murder Hornets." They
look so scary, and I heard they go after smaller insects,
including bees! We need the
bees, they are so vital. You've
written this story so well.
Blessings to you. ~

Thank you. Those bees were vicious and attacked for no reason. We were glad to see them go.

I like the large bold font that makes the story easier to read. Bee stings are not fun, of course, however you write with humor and that's good. Liked the dog hiding under the porch and suspicious chickens especially. Nice story. Hit the family non-fiction mark.

Thank you. I did hit family and nonfiction. I don't know why it didn't stay. Oh well, on a scale of 1 to 10 there are a lot of more important things in this life. Lol. Hugs

This story, Killer Bees, is a somewhat humorous accounting of that year of the aggressive Black German Bees. A great telling of what was obviously a life-threatening situation with the normally helpful and admired insects.

Exceptional entry for the Family Memories writing prompt contest. Your words flow is easy to follow from beginning to end.
I enjoyed the story of your family horrible bees. I was stung by bees when I was little. I can't imagine how much it would hurt in your face!
I wish you the best of luck. So far yours is my favorite.

These sound like killer bees! How terrifying. I have never heard of bees being sent through the mail and I am glad your Father eradicated them and life returned to normal, an interesting read, love Dolly x

Thank you. My dad used to order honey bees through the mail all the time. They arrived in small, screened boxes. I used the boxes to put the mice in that I caught. It did not make mom happy when I brought mice home. Lol. Hugs

What a great story to share. I would get stung by the honey bees as a kid only because I caught them in a jar, and then like an idiot put my hand over the jar as a lid. I carry a small scar on my hand from one of those little critters. You did a great job. Shirley

Many people are allergic to bees too and get very sick. Ouch! It is good to know there are some bees like these that are known as killer bees. Liked your well-written story.

Thank you. I don't know what real killer bees are like, but I bet the bees we had would give them a run for their money. Lol Hugs.

Your story is very well written and a good entry for the contest. It sounds like that hive of bees you had were killer bees. It must have been scary until your father was able to get rid of them.

This is a fascinating story. I hadn't heard of killer bees except for the African crossbreeds in Brazil (?) that were ,making their way north a few decades ago. Now we have the killer wasps from Japan on the west coast. Nature has a way of not liking to be disturbed. I'm glad your father was able to destroy the hive before they crossbred and spread. Great story, written well.
