Mother goose or Dr. Seuss you're not. Maybe these were the kind of bedtime stories you grew up on which allowed you to write such fantistic crime fiction. You excel with horror stories, but I wouldn't read them at bedtime.

Gory definition of the character who is speaking. And how proud he is of his occupation. I do wonder though how acceptable organs would be if the 'donor' did drugs! But then, his whole business is crooked. Clever humor with KRAC-TV. The reference to mask keeps the reader in mind of the current Pandemic. The signature 'cracked' me up. No pun intended.

Glad you enjoyed this Nightmare. Appreciate the review.
Comment from Judy Lawless
The way this is written, with such light-heartedness as the narrator speaks could be quite funny, if only the devastating problems with drug addictions and overdoses weren't true. The worst part is most people become hooked on opioids legally prescribed for pain! I hope it is meant to be tongue in cheek. Well done.
One thing: I don't think the word shant(shan't) is used correctly here. It means won't or shall not, I believe, so it should read either, Doubt that it will be very long, or It shan't be very long.
Doubt if it shant be very long.

This is a very dark post, but extremely well written. It does cause me to ask a question. Wouldn't drug overdoses effect the organs, making them not optimal? I don't know, it just cause a thought as I read.

Fentanyl affects how the brain feels pain. Appreciate the review.

For a while the military was prescribing Fentanyl for burn victims. After numerous soldiers were addicted to it, they revised their plan.
Comment from Eunice Amero
Its ashame for these people to kill themselves with such stuff. Their poor brains don't want that junk. They drink themselves to death and smoke drugs like its going out of style. If they only could understand God would help them. Thank you for sharing and I wish you all the best with this story.

Hi Brett, this would give anyone a nightmare whether a child or an adult. I do like your play with words, and the character have all the ingredients of being a really nasty being. Ulla:)))
