I love how you speak the truth! This poem is beyond excellent. I also love that you used the word perserverance. Using that word and coming up for the poetry of it was beautifully done by you. Great job and best of luck to you in the contest!

Thanks so much, EmberSnowcat, I'm so glad you liked this one. It's what many struggling writers deal with, I think, wanting to keep trying without giving up. I struggle with giving up nearly everyday, but something down deep inside will not allow me to stop writing.

This is a really good acrostic about perseverance. This would be a challenging word, I would think, but you've handled it quite nicely. Definitely takes perseverance to get all muscled like your guy in the picture:)

Thanks, JavaJunkie. I was initially reluctant to post a photo of myself along with this poem, but I thought, what the heck why not -- no one will think me vain.

Sometimes you falter, stumble your way down new uncharted paths. In the long run it is worth all the struggle one has gone through. To get to the place in life you want to be.

Lost a dear family member tonight my daughter in law's mom she was 94. She passed away on the way to the hospital
