Oh this is sooooo beautiful. It reminds me of Aux en Provence in France. A lovely offering for Brooke and Sawyer and I'm sure she will appreciate it immensely--as I have.
In Constantinople, the emperors wore purple red clothing dyed from special molusks. The dye was that of royalty and was known as porphyrus. The sleeping chambers of the emperor were dressed in this colour, also the marble in the room had the same hue and was known also as porphyrus. The little princes born in the chamber were called porphyrogenitus--born in the purple--which meant born an emperor's child. I'm still not allowed to give sixes, but I would for this and all your pictapoems--they're excellent.

Thank you very much, Alex. As always, I really appreciate your support of what I try to do. When I get my own book of these poems published, and I am working on that very thing, as we speak, you will be the first one I sign and send a copy to. You truly are a great friend...

This is a beautiful departure from your usual work. I found both it and the picture made an emotional connection. You should let this sensitive side speak more often.

Yeah, so I've been told, believe me, LOL! Just between you and me, I used to write love poems and poems of faith years ago. But, after a heart attack left me dead on my living room floor for over three minutes, something inside me... metamorphosed. I think it's because I saw no "bright lights", no beckoning relatives coming to welcome me. Only complete and utter darkness. That's always been a bit disheartening to me, I think.

Thank you, BD, for your outstanding review.

You expected all that? And now you've grown cynical. I'm coming back from the darkness as the soul or what ever it is has no eyes without a body. I'm coming back as maybe a bee or gopher who doesn't need religion to live every moment to it's fullest, take care of their family and live in peace. Then with that wisdom, try again as a human. All is darkness until we as 'energy', or descriptors that we haven't invented yet, flit back into embodiment. Anyway that's what I believe. I didn't read or study it anywhere, I just feel it.We have a universe to visit if we give up coming back to this one. If evolves energies choose not to return, we see more primitive behaviors (wars, general stupidity, greed). They get pissed off and leave, taking their wisdom which nobody listened to with them. There are a few still here, but they are being over taken by new unevolved essences. Thus the state of our world.

Okay, first of all, I shouldn't have read this before my sixes are restored. Secondly, I have to extend my thanks to Brooke for inspiring you to write something so beautiful (even though I am a big fan of the genre you usually pen). And thirdly, you have to tech me how to do this pictapoem thing! LOL
Seriously, Dean - spectacular presentation for a fabulous poem again. Wow. >> "The walls of earth and heaven doth merge..."

Hah, thank you, Dawn, and I will certainly tutor you on 'pictapoem' propriety, if you wish...You just tell me when.

    Thanks for your outstanding review.

I am so computer-challenged believe me, you would rue this day! LOL. You are most welcome, Dean. It was very much my pleasure.

Great stuff my friend, I enjoy seeing another dimension to The King of Scream. Us horror guys need to swim over to the pretty side of the pool once awhile. Top notch.

Thanks, 'Sak. I made a fellow fanstorian a promise I'd write her a 'pictapoem' with a lighter, more airy feel to it. I always do my best to keep my promises...

Thanks for checking it out and weighing in on it for me!

Very nicely done and just as sensational without the horror.
Dare I say it-You're full of (lovely) surprises.
Very well written and presented and a stunning pictapoem.
Beautifully rhymed and a visual feast.
