I totally adored this fun and silly poem. Such a respite in the midst of the heavy stuff. You have very good imagery, and the rhyming couplets are ingenious. Well done.

I thought this was Children's Poetry until I check and see it is humor. Your poem is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a good read.

This has about as much sense as I don't know what. It's ideal for the contest though. I really liked this part:

I know for a fact there's no night on the moon."
"Aha!" cried the pirates, You think you're so clever!
We come from the dark side where night lasts forever."

Good use of the aabb rhyme scheme. Good solid rhyming with a smooth flow. No unforced rhyming as this poem contains a humorous message. Good alliteration with grizzly/grumpy...wizard/warlock...wrinkled/warthog. This poem meets the criteria of the entry. Straight nonsense.

I love it.... such utter nonsense! This totally appeals to my sense of the ridiculous, and as I work extensively with young children, I know how much they adore this type of silliness. A great read, a great rhyme, and very amusing! Good luck in the contest.

This is a hoot!

Lovely rhythm and rhyme, lots of alliteration and crazy imagery. Such fun to read - enjoyed it immensely, and I'll bet it was fun to write too!

A strong contender for the contest for sure. Spike Milligan eat your heart out! ;)

Thanks so much for the enthusiastic review and the six stars.

Spike Milligan - now there's a master of the loony and the bizarre. Strangely enough, the poem of his I remember the best is a very serious one, 'Unto Us'.

You fit the prompt for sure, this poem is funny and full of nonsense, but you made the nonsense make sense by the creativity of the lines and the humor, it was almost like watching a funny cartoon, all sorts of original thoughts and images, really skillful, nice work.
