It sure is that season again. Creative with extreme visual imagery of something that we all dread, the common cold. Good work meeting the syllable requirement count too. Excellent work. Good luck in the contest.

Well, my wife says this is true and it did give her a laugh. But really, when I have a cold it is always a bad one. Just be glad that men Don't give birth.

In 17 lines the story of a cold became so crucial and death-like and it really is!
With a box of tissues and medication coupled with the cold weather, it is enough to take the life out of us.
With our breathing like a haggard old person struggling on a breathing aid, a cold can be so devastating especially if they last for more than 3 weeks, smiles.
Wonderfully penned and never underestimate the killer instinct of the common cold and flu, smiles.
Good luck to the contest and it did make me smile.
'sneeze cough at deaths door' is a brilliant line and I don't think many would come out with such a catchy yet realistic line, :)).
Cheerio, lots of hugs and luv, Ritchie. :))

Hahaha - my interpretation is that this may be a commentary on how men are usually big babies when they get sick. Was that what you had in mind? Hugs, Lou

Lou,
Indeed, and I've been working with my husband for over 20 years so I can certainly testify. He's good humored though so it's all good.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review and great feedback.
Smiles :)

Oh my Gosh!!! How true is this? The woman keeps on cooking, cleaning, packing lunches for kids, etc. etc... the man acts as though death is imminent.... too funny!

Ah, there does seem to be a difference in the way a man deals with a cold and the way a woman deals with one. Anyway, this is cute. Good luck, Jeanie Mercer

You've made great use of every syllable! I've always heard that men make the worst patients. Imagine a sick man who is a doctor! LOL

thinks this is the end for sure
sigh it's a man cold
Best of luck in the contest
