Personally, I could care less that it's mixed meter. I was reading the words which told the story of Debi & Glen. Your words chosen from friendship and caring for this couple.
Very nicely done, Karenina.
Cheers,
John

Thanks so much, John. I'm not a "well-metered" gal...
I prefer to write from my heart, and I truly meant every word!

Karenina... So good to see you on here I've missed you. I've been dowsing for any healing you may need. Regarding your poem: you have used illusion very effectively. I don't pay any attention to the mixed meter, just the heart felt words. A lovely tribute.

Bless you. I'm meter-deficient all too often! I'm thrilled for Debi and Glen. Fifty years is a huge milestone!

Hello karenina,
It's good to hear from you.
I love your poem, it reminds me of that song, it fits perfectly with the poem.
The presentation is beautiful.
Living so long with your husband is an achievement. I couldn't do it. My longest marriage was 14 years long.
Well done

karen,
How precious and sweet! And what a treat this has to be for Debi. But also, fifty years? What a wonderful achievement! I mean, it's always been something we shoot for, but nowadays it's even more than that. It's quite a success story, isn't it?
Yay for them and hats off to YOU for choosing such a wonderful thing to shine a spotlight on. But then - that's kinda your thing, ain't it, you sweetheart, you!
Hugs--

I don't think I'd meet the minimum eligible requirements for "sweetheart" ~~ but you sure do know how to make a gal feel good!
Debi and Glen have been blessed. Still, it takes hard work and compromise to make it to the Golden Anniversary!
Thanks--and HUGS!

Thank you so much John.
Debi has devoted so much of her time and talent to all of us...
I hope, in some small way, she feels the very love she gives!

Thanks so much for the six... All of them will be sent by magic unicorn to Debi and Glen! (But I finally got the song embedded!)

Karenia, you need six more stars to go with the moon, and they all are shining brightly on Debi and Glen. Your well-written poem sets up the dance for the rest of their lives. Terry.

Thank you for sharing your best wishes. If only I had the skill to embed the video to "Could I Have This Dance" instead of just the link...
