Nicely written poem. I hate it when those thoughts of something that needs to be on paper comes in the middle of the night and won't allow me to get a restful night's sleep. You're right. Inspiration some at a cost.

Thank you, dear Beth. I'm so glad that you enjoyed it. It's been revised as the meter was a bit off. It's much better now and smoother. This is a new endeavor for me, but I'll keep at it. Prose came first for me, then poetry. :)

It can be so difficult when all you want to do is sleep and yet your brain is wide awake. The moment I start thinking about it though the more anxious I become. An engaging piece of writing, Sally. I enjoyed reading it.

Yes, when we are very tired and waiting for sleep to sweep us away, it seems that inspiration wants to creep its way into your thoughts and keep you awake while you compose. And then that lovely song "Dream" I love the whole presentation, very enjoyable. Thank you for sharing.

Oh I'm so glad somebody that loves me got the first one! I'm so glad you like it. Did I do this correctly? This kind of thing does not come easy for me because of my eyes.
