Good Morning, Sandra!
Another excellent read filled with keen dialogue and humor! I smiled when reading the conversation among the "Powers-That-Be" as well as the comment that Amelia made to Martha, "We'll put something solid in that skinny frame of yours. All it would take is one patient to sneeze and you'd be blown over."
Am so looking forward for the "spooky" to begin! :)
Take Care!

The powers that be are discussing the situation with Mildred, and decide that she should be allowed to carry out the present course that she's on. The surprising this that Veronica never feels hungry or tired, but they start concocting a plan to make aware to Amelia, that Gladys he's been murdered, and a ghost, but to protect Amelia by planting a letter elsewhere to protect her. Well done, Sandra, blessings Roy f

Me too Sandra,

Another very good chapter. I was also wondering what the implications might be of a love affair across time shifts. That could be a hard one to resolve.
The incidental details you include while these characters are talking amongst themselves make the scenes really come to life.
I've a number of minor suggestions for you to consider:
I (just) didn't foresee that coming at all,
in as much as (inasmuch as)
a situation like this with Mildred(,) as she's always lived her lives for the people she's been sent to help.
Her nimble fingers (easily) created the most delightful little rosebuds with (her) tiny neat stitches.
just as she was about to speak, she managed to catch herself (in time) and clamped her mouth shut
a frown, layered with concern, coated (crossed?) her face.
Just mentioning Tommy was enough to brighten her face (, though).
accusing him of yours and possibly her murder
(accusing him of your murder and possibly hers)

Thank you so much for this helpful review, Tony. I'm going to copy and paste them to my MS Word copy and go through them. There are some excellent suggestions here that I really appreciate. It's wonderful what a good pair of fresh eyes can see! :)) Thanks for this and the six stars, my friend, I truly do appreciate it all. Sandra xx
