Brooke, another wonderful poem. No telling what
that poor library drop has had to eat. It probably
has heartburn for sure. You are too clever. Can't
you share that cleverness. I need a transfusion of it.

God heavens! You are writing faster than I can review LOL
What an imagination Sawyer has! ;-) Wondering about the
digestive properties of the Library Book Drop! Imagining the
characters that populate his borrowed books meeting up down
there in the chute!
LOL. . .kids and their imagines! (Cute write :-)

Amazing and a wonderfully thought out work about the menace of huge of piles of book; unsorted making the work of a library sorter or shelve attendant more cumbersome. Well written

What a beautiful, cute poem bout the Book drop. And they say libraries are getting extinct because of the Internet.
I still like the tangible book, and I'm sure Sawyer does too , from the look of things.
The greatest fun I had with my two granddaughters when they were little, was to sit on the stairs with each one and read them stories. They loved the wonderful places that we would explore, in their books, and would memorize the spoken words until they knew them by heart.
I love that the Book drop became human...it munches on mountains... eats up the places; all such funny pictures that make an enjoyable read.

Wow! It seems each of your poems tops the last one I read. This is no exception. I loved King Sawyer and then I read this one. Your talent and creative energy are an inspiration.

The library drop contains a worldly wonder of books, movies, etc... I should know. I work part time in a library. A great place to discover new ideas. Your book drop has a wonder of innocence. Superb! Les

Brooke, this is the ultimate in creative imagination and imagery from a child's concrete perspective. One might not ever look at the Library slot the same. Fun b-b and so forth rhyme. Well done. :0 GracieAnn

Awww, so this is Sawyer's first library book. I'm sure he'll get his mom to read many more, and soon he'll be able to read some himself. They grow just way too fast, but I think it's great that he likes to listen to stories being read to him, and takes in as much as he can. So very educational and what a wonderful mom to take the time. I confess that I took in every word, so one doesn't have to be a child to appreciate what you write. I only know that I do! Loved it all. . .Sharon

Thank you, Sharon, for your thoughtful response to this poem :-) He already has dozens and dozens of his own books memorized so that if Miranda stops reading a sentence half way through, he will finish the line :-) Brooke

ROFLMAO!!!!! Now this is funny! At such a young age, I wouldn't expect this! This child is very likely to be a straight A student, and I think we can foresee this!

Hello adewpearl, Brooke, I can just see the smile of pride on Sawyer's face as he stands on his tippy-toes reaching for the book slot. Of special note:
I hate to imagine
the terrible fate
awaiting the book drop
if that's what it ate.
(Brooke, I hate to imagine the terrible fate of the book drop if books should become a thing of the past--how sad for the future generations.)
A fun poem filled with adventure and woe. Keep the blue waters flowing.
