Dean: Awwwww, you have a soft, gentle side! This is a lovely piece and that child giggling I could sit and listen to all day and night. Wonderful, wonderful. Linda

I sat here long after the post was done and just felt good. Loved the message and the whole thing just came together and flowed so nicely. I can still remember when my own little ones used to laugh like that. Nicely done.

Very nice marriage of words superimposed over the picture of parent and child. Yet the strength of this piece is in that heart-felt promise. It is kind of overwhelming, how much we are capable of loving our children.

Hi Dean,
I love this sweet rhyme, it's just so heartfelt and the sentiment is one all parents will share. I certainly do! Nothing quite as ferocious as a parent when something threatens to harm our children.
As always, your presentation is superb!
Kindest regards as always, Debra :)

Dean, this is a tender tribute to children. It would be great if all parents could say this and mean it. The rhyme is balanced and adds an easy flow to the meter. Nicely done. :0 GracieAnn

Hah, well, the dark stuff makes me lots of money, GraiceAnn, while my more heartfelt pieces do not. So, it would be hard to give that up, so many seem to feel it's what I am best at. At least, my publishers do!

Yes, I do get that. I don't have to tell you what you all ready know in your head, but just a gentle prick in your side...honor God and He will honor you when eternal rewards are passed out. Temporary dollars now or a crown of precious jewels in eternity? Hummm...one must weigh the benefits. I think you are an accomplished author and writer and I respectfully admonish you because I care. :0 GracieAnn

I know, gracieAnn, and I do appreciate it. I have never really understood why my more tender offerings were often received as trite, or cliche. However, the fact remains that even this piece received such a review, and has garnered just two six star ratings. It hasn't even been listed as a well received post as of yet. So, I guess you could sya that the proof is in the pudding.
The Lord knows that I love Him with all of my heart, and he provides for me. Where else does my rather warped imagination come from, if not from Him?
Thanks so much again for your wonderful and heartfelt comments...

I know what you are saying. When I have posted a spiritually neutral write it seems to do well as long as it is not too light. I think that our culture is predisposed to darkness in this day and political correctness. The macabre incites that carnal nature in us and does not require us to change. It is easier to be evil, I think. I also think that Satan is real and that he can direct and reward his followers to some degree, but you and I know that it is temporary, limited, and part of an unholy agenda. God does give us the "raw materials" but it is our choice how we develop it. :0 GraceAnn

Thanks so much, my Dark Fiend! You're really not all that dark, you know. I think I will have to change that nomenclature to my good friend from now on, LOL...
