Awesome poem! Is this more or less like an introduction to a series of poems? It felt at first as if I were reading a story, but then the ending was much different than I had expected lol either way- great poem and it's nice to read your work again! You never fail to enliven my mind with great vocab and rhyme :)

Thanks so much for weighing in on this one for me, Anupam Sharma. I am very happy to hear that you enjoy these 'pictpoems' and their format. It's definitely a very challenging one, so much has to go into the presentation. But, the poem; the writing itself, is always and forever will be the first priority.

Thank you very much for your appreciation of the 'pictapoem' format, david. I've been encouraged to see others pick up the ball and run with this format, too, such as poet.wayne, and a few others. It's a very challenging, but fun, sort of poem to produce.

Thanks so much, marijmd. I too follow "The Golden Menace" quite closely. It's one of my favorite stories to follow. Alex had not read it yet, but, he will, lol.

Thanks, BD, that is very kind of you to say. And yes, I will make the author non-specific, maybe referencing all fantasy writers, in my book. Alex has been such a huge supporter of my work, a constant encouragement during times when, unbeknownst to him, I almost left this site all together.
